Viscount Model 162 Heilite Viscount (Model 162)

Heilite Trailers were built by the Heilite Manufacturing company founded in 1953 and located in Lodi California. The single wheel camp trailer was the most popular product built by the company and most important to this site, but there other products were also interesting. They built a roof top tent and three different models of two wheel trailers. This is the Viscount model trailer. This trailer appears to use the same tent assembly as the single wheel trailer as they both open out to the passanger side. According to an early brochure, and before they named the different models, the single wheel trailer is model 161 and this is model 162. Found this on ebay, converted to two wheel: Here is your very rare chance to purchase a 1958 Heilite Camping Trailer. These Trailers were made in Lodc Ca. They were made of aircraft quality light weight material. Approx. 300 Lbs. Perfect for camping with the Coleman Stove and accessories per era. Ideal to be towed behind a VW or vintage hot rod. Includes top bows, stove, era plates, air mattress, 3 spare wheels and tires, 2 stability jacks as well as 4 attachad) Tents etc. Have not been opened in years, condition unknown. Exterior surface has been polished and is shinny. Minor dings and scuffs that could not be polished out are apparent. Tail light lenses are missing.

I have found another one out in a field. This one, however, is a double wheel trailer. The owner said it has been there for 14 yrs! I just cant believe I have been driving around it for 7 years. Anyway, There is no canvas or even the framework. It is a 1965. The thing is real straight.
