(Heilite Trailers Inc.) I have a 4 page brochure with: Tail Light Wiring assembly, Bumper Clamp Inst, Tent Installation, Leg Assembly, Trailer Hitch connector, Undercarriage assembly, and . . .Window pull stop. This was printed 1/57 for the Heilite Trailer Model HE. Sent by Dan and Deborah
(Heilite Trailers Inc.) HI, My dad did PR for Heilite in the mid 60s and I have several of their brochures, an article he wrote about an extensive trip to Mexico we took and lots of high quality promotional photos used in brochures and so on. I really appreciate what you are doing and want to help. I took one down Baja myself in 1969 on lots of dirt roads – they’re indestructible! Found a two wheeler in great shape with canvas that had only been used five times in 40 years!! And the best part was they gave it to me. Needs new mattresses and travel cover but small price to pay. (Stolz)Sent to us by our Single Wheel friend Karlheinz Flach. He has a single wheel site and is a trailer collecter in Germany. While we have a bit of a language barrier, we are trying to share information. His site is at www.pkw-einradanhaenger.com. He also send a stats sheet, although in German I still found it interesting.
(Allstate) (We are pretty sure this is and Allstate Box trailer with the metal box removed - AH) Hi Aaron- how about this for using a single wheel trailer -- I've attached a radio ad for the Sapphire II VW radio. Sent by Dave.
(Heinz Schutz) Hello, great site! I also have a single wheel trailer. It´s a "lastenboy" from Heinz Schutz. I send you some pictures. best wishes from Germany. Owned by Sebastian Manitz
(Allstate) (Allstate Wood trailer Parts list, model # 231-508. I left this document as big as they were sent to me because it is a great read and the detailed images are awesome. (Heilite Trailers Inc.) This brochure was sent with a bunch of pictures from Deborah and her Husband
This brochure is from a trailer that looks very similar to the Calberlah and appears to be built just for VW bugs.
I recently found this on E-bay. It's a postcard from at least '59 as the two cars behind the wagon pulling the trailer, are both '59's. The trailer is as of yet, unidentifiable, but appears to be the size and shape of a Stolz
(Heilite Trailers Inc.) Purchased this one page Heilite ad from a vendor on E-bay. The stamp says Bradley's in Pasadena California.  The date of the ad is unknown, but guessing from the cars, I'm guessing '55 or '56.
(Heilite Trailers Inc.) While rummaging through a thrift store, about a year ago I came across this book. Along with a bunch of vintage car camper info (that I sent to a friend who is building a site for that) was a picture of the Heilite Single wheel trailer that you see here. The car in the background is reported to be a 58 Ford Fairlane Notice the price and the license plate, "FUN4U2". Submitted by
(Allstate) This is a page taken from a 1956 Sears Catalog. Submitted by Jon Lane of the Der Kafer Fahrer Here's a scan of the portion of the page devoted to SWT (Single Wheel Trailers).
(Heilite Trailers Inc.) Believe this is a '58 Brochure as the bottom right corner has a 58 in the label. I bought this from a Literature dealer. This is the first time I've ever heard of the Heilite Car-Topper. Submitted by
From the United States Patent office, here is the patent for the trailer hitch invented by C.W. Bowden. Submitted by Zen.
1957 Brochure. I'm assuming the date from the "TR 57-A" label and that its attached to a '57 Chevy wagon. Bought this from a literature dealer. Submitted by
(Allstate)This Sears Catalog page is labeled as Spring of 1955 from Submitted by George Taylor.
(Heilite Trailers Inc.)Owners manual. The car is a 58 Chevy Biscayne so this is more than likely a late '50s brochure. Submitted by The McDonald Family.
(Allstate) "I recently found a Sears 1955 Mid-Summer Sale Catalog. There is an Allstate trailer shown in it." Submitted by Zen
(Heilite Trailers Inc.) Craig & Lisa sent me there trailer information which included the Heilite Patent numbers. With a quick search on the United States Patent office web site I found the following three patents.
Submitted by Jon Lane of the Der Kafer Fahrer
(Heilite Trailers Inc.) Mechanix Illustrated, bought from a literature dealer. The last picture is an advertisement separate from the rest of the article in the back of the magazine. Submitted by
(Heilite Trailers Inc.) 1963 Brochure, bought from a literature dealer. The car is a 62 ford station wagon. This one is a good read. Submitted by
(Heilite Trailers Inc.) 1961 Heilite Parts Manual. 13 pages of parts for the various models. The first page is a letter that was included in the Parts Manual, this is a great read. The rest of the pages are the actual parts manual itself.
(Heilite Trailers Inc.) Believe this is from around '57 as the car in the adds is a '57 Chevy. While this isn't a Single Wheel trailer or trailer of any kind, it is from the Heilite company and is a very cool accessory
